Spring Cleaning for Your Soul

Hi Reader,

Have you felt the energy shift with the seasons? For me, I feel the shift out of hibernation and into the spring energizer bunny.

That natural urge to spring clean seems to bubble up from nowhere, doesn't it? I've noticed it's not just about tidying our physical spaces, but this energy creates an opportunity for inner clearing too.

Have you ever noticed how your environment reflects your inner state?

The objects we keep carry energy from the versions of ourselves that acquired them. Some uplift and move us forward, while others may be holding us back without us even realizing it.

I experienced this so powerfully recently. I was absolutely convinced I needed new clothes, sneakers, and a necklace. I've been window shopping where I live in France and recently on a trip to Spain. Just last week, I was planning a shopping trip for this week.

I thought I didn't have what I needed.

What I didn't realize was how much my space was still holding onto my past. Even though I had cleared out all my old clothes before moving to France over two years ago, I still had shoes, purses, and jewelry tucked away in corners, clouding both my mind and my space.

Once I gathered everything to give away and sell, something shifted. I could finally see the clothes and shoes I already had and realized they were perfect for what I needed.

Then, as I cleared out my old jewelry bag, I discovered a hidden necklace that was even better than anything I could have imagined. It was absolutely perfect, a delicate gold band with citrine stones and a citrine teardrop pendant.

Citrine, symbolizing joy, abundance and personal power - so perfect for where I am right now. It felt like this version of me tugged it away for me to find at this moment.

That’s when I said out loud, "I have everything I need." And I realized this statement is true in every area of my life.

There's nothing wrong with honoring where we've been, but when our spaces become filled with energy from past versions of ourselves, we leave less room for who we're becoming.

And no, you don't have to become a minimalist or get rid of everything (like I love to do).

Try this practice for intentional alignment with your current self:

  • Move through your space slowly, without judgment
  • Notice what items make you feel expansive and alive
  • Identify what feels heavy or connected to an old version of you
  • For each item, ask: "Does this represent who I am today?"

This spring, I invite you to consider what might become possible if you created space for your current and future self to fully inhabit your home and energy.

Walk through one area of your home with fresh eyes. What's one thing you notice that no longer represents who you are today?

Hit reply and share what you're discovering. I read and value every response.

With love,

Elicia

The Dream That Led Me Home: Core Emotional Healing® After Bankruptcy

Hi Reader, Yesterday morning, I woke up from a dream that felt so real, I had to write it down. It wasn't just a dream; it was a homecoming. The Dream: The Magical Energy of My Atlanta Loft In the dream, I was home. Not the physical home I share with Olivier on the organic farm in the South of France. I was standing in the center of my loft in Atlanta, the one in the converted 1890s schoolhouse in Inman Park. This was the first, and only, place I owned alone (2003-2009) and it’s where my book...
