What happens when you plug back into yourself?

Hi Reader,

In recent weeks, I've emphasized creating space. I spoke about the vital energy that returns when we let go of scrolling for distraction and validation, release the effort of constant self-fixing, and welcome the quiet.

This year, I embraced that quiet.

After twenty years dedicated to the alchemy of emotional healing, I am currently immersed in a season of deep personal reconnection. I made the choice to unplug from the noise of Facebook and habits that dampened my energy.

What I found in this new space wasn't emptiness, it was more of my essence.

When I unplugged from the digital world, I plugged into myself more fully. I plugged into my community here in the South of France, and almost immediately, life began to align with my new alignment.

A new group of women showed up, all navigating the passage of menopause and eager to walk and explore every week. These globally-minded women bring expanded experiences and an enriching presence.

For the first time, I hosted five of these women at our home yesterday for coffee and tea before our Monday morning walk. I organized the route at my favorite place, and as we finished, they all shared that it was their favorite morning yet.

From this deeper connection within, I am finding more of what I love. This internal alignment has brought me a hairdresser who cuts my hair exactly how I’ve been wanting it for years. I found my ideal Pilates studio five minutes from my house, something else I’ve been missing for years.

My desire and inspiration to do photoshoots returned with a surge of creative energy. This past Saturday, I brought my camera and zoom lens to the organic farmers market at our doorstep and captured the market’s essence.

This profound shift, the process of plugging back into your true self, is exactly what I facilitate in my work.

We often think that if we stop "doing the work," we will fall apart. What I have experienced, and witnessed with others, is that when you stop the search and stay connected to your energy and your truth, the world meets you there.

I am loving my True Essence and, in turn, loving the process of witnessing my clients' True Essence.

You are not a problem to be solved. You are a presence to be felt. The truth of who you are is waiting for you to simply make the room.

I would love to hear from you: If you allowed yourself to welcome the quiet today, what is something that you would like to connect to?

With so much love,

Elicia

P.S. If you are ready to stop the search and move into this state of alignment, I invite you to join me in the True Essence Program. This is the online sanctuary where we move beyond the labor of healing and into the power of presence. Click here to explore the True Essence Program

Hi Reader, There is a sacred, sometimes unsettling, space between who we were and who we are becoming. This was the theme that emerged in my True Essence group call this week, and it mirrored what I just went through over the past three years. Many of us are currently navigating a significant identity shift. We are letting go of old roles, feeling like we’re “burning it all down”, and dealing with the noise of old patterns (and people) trying to pull us back into the past. When these storms...

Hi Reader, On Tuesday, I asked what boundaries you needed to set right now, whether it was stepping back from social media, letting go of draining relationships, or taking a break from a substance that is no longer serving your body. When we finally set those boundaries and stop numbing or distracting ourselves, we are more present. At first, that quiet space can feel a little uncomfortable. But it is also the exact space where you can connect with your true feelings and essence. When you...

Hi Reader, Last week, I wrote to you about setting a boundary around social media. I’d love to know how that felt for you if you were able to try it. Beyond social media, what else is leaving you feeling out of balance? What do you need to step back from to truly take care of yourself right now? Maybe it looks like: Creating space from people and situations that drain your energy. Continuing to unplug from social media and the constant influx of other people's opinions. Reducing your reliance...
