Your Body Is Speaking: Are You Listening?

Hi Reader,

Your body is always communicating with you. Learning its language is the key to your emotional healing and the path to living your authentic life.

Whether you are just beginning to acknowledge the emotional root of your symptoms or you are a seasoned client who has moved through many layers of the Core Emotional Healing process, the book Messages from the Body: Their Psychological Meaning, A through Z by Dr. Michael J. Lincoln remains an invaluable tool.

For Those Just Starting Out: Your Symptoms Are A Gift!

If you recognize that your physical symptoms are linked to an emotional cause but haven't yet embarked on the healing path, this book is your confirmation.

What the book does for you:

  • Confirms the message: It provides an A-Z guide that links all physical symptoms to their corresponding psychological meaning, helping you bypass your own defenses and blind spots. Many of my clients have called it “The Bible” and “Magic Book” because it confirms what your core emotional wound, belief, and pattern is.
  • A doorway to healing: The book itself is not the healing process. That is why I created the Core Emotional Healing (CEH) Self Study Course Instead, the book's message is the "what," confirming what you need to heal from, so you can then apply the "how" of the CEH process.

How to use it:

  • Get the ebook: The digital version is the best to have on your phone and computer. A simple search by symptom brings you instantly to the message you need.
  • Listen to your inner child: View the message from your body as your inner child communicating their feelings and experiences. Instead of feeling despair, listen with compassion. The message explains what resulted and where the emotional wound came from, helping you connect with the part of you that needs to be healed.
  • Go through the CEH Self Study lessons: Learn and apply the process to heal.

For My Valued Clients: A Timely Reminder

For those of you who have already embraced and worked through the Core Emotional Healing process, your symptoms (old and new) may still flare up. When they do, they are a reminder of engrained emotional wounds, beliefs, and patterns that are being triggered in the present moment.

I recently heard from clients who went back to Messages from the Body and it immediately clarified what they needed to focus on in the Core Emotional Healing process, confirming both the book and the CEH Self Study’s ongoing value.

Here are some client examples:

  • Yeast infections:The most common example of codependency, the "me last" pattern, and repressed anger, flaring up when you are not supporting yourself and neglecting your needs.
  • Cough: A symptom of standing up for yourself but then immediately feeling guilty from your childhood experience where expressing your needs led to punishment.
  • Left wrist pain: A message about avoiding the pain of looking at your childhood and not meeting your needs.

By acknowledging and validating the message, this helps you move past your defenses, confirming the truth of a deep wound or even a present-moment emotional need.

For example, hiccups can remind you to stop overworking due to a self-imposed deadline.

Embrace the message, connect with your inner child, and let your body's communication guide you towards your next layer of healing and freedom.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I’m here for you.

With love,

Elicia

Hi Reader, There is a sacred, sometimes unsettling, space between who we were and who we are becoming. This was the theme that emerged in my True Essence group call this week, and it mirrored what I just went through over the past three years. Many of us are currently navigating a significant identity shift. We are letting go of old roles, feeling like we’re “burning it all down”, and dealing with the noise of old patterns (and people) trying to pull us back into the past. When these storms...

Hi Reader, In recent weeks, I've emphasized creating space. I spoke about the vital energy that returns when we let go of scrolling for distraction and validation, release the effort of constant self-fixing, and welcome the quiet. This year, I embraced that quiet. After twenty years dedicated to the alchemy of emotional healing, I am currently immersed in a season of deep personal reconnection. I made the choice to unplug from the noise of Facebook and habits that dampened my energy. What I...

Hi Reader, On Tuesday, I asked what boundaries you needed to set right now, whether it was stepping back from social media, letting go of draining relationships, or taking a break from a substance that is no longer serving your body. When we finally set those boundaries and stop numbing or distracting ourselves, we are more present. At first, that quiet space can feel a little uncomfortable. But it is also the exact space where you can connect with your true feelings and essence. When you...
